Square D labels name the line (QO or Homeline) and list the breakers allowed in that panel.

How to tell QO from Homeline

Both lines are common in Utah Valley homes. The panel label inside the door tells you which you have.

  • QO breakers are 3/4 inch wide and many have a VISI-TRIP red flag that shows a trip.
  • Homeline breakers are 1 inch wide and are Square D's more budget-friendly line.
  • The label lists the breaker types allowed. Only those belong in the panel.

Square D questions

Can I put a Homeline breaker in a QO panel?

No. QO and Homeline breakers are different sizes and are not interchangeable. Only breakers listed for your panel belong in it.

How do I know if I have a Square D QO panel?

Check the label inside the panel door. QO breakers are 3/4 inch wide, and many show a red trip flag.

Do you stock Square D breakers?

Is a Square D panel worth keeping?

Usually yes, if it is in good shape and has enough capacity. We check it and tell you honestly.
