Hung level, wired right, rated for the weight

Same Day Light Fixture Installation in Orem, UT, Pendants and More

You picked the perfect fixture. Now it needs to hang straight, stay put and work for years. Our Orem electricians install chandeliers, pendants, vanity bars and under-cabinet lights, including heavy fixtures and tall entry ceilings. Most installs can be scheduled quickly, often same day for simple swaps. Emergency at night? An electrician near you answers 24 hours a day.

The details that make a fixture look right

A great fixture can look wrong if it hangs too high, too low or off-center. We get the details right.

  • Dining chandeliers centered over the table, usually about 30 to 36 inches above it.
  • Island pendants spaced evenly with clear sight lines across the kitchen.
  • Vanity lights at face height to cut shadows when you get ready.
  • Entry chandeliers sized to the space and hung safely in two-story foyers.

Why the box behind the fixture matters

The ceiling box is what holds your fixture up. Many older boxes were made for light, simple fixtures.

Weight rating

Standard boxes have limits. Heavy chandeliers need a box rated for the weight or extra bracing.

Solid mounting

We attach the box to framing or a brace so it can't sag over time.

Fan-rated boxes

If you might add a fan later, we install a fan-rated box now. See Ceiling Fan Installation.

Room for wires

A box that is too small crowds wires and connections, which can overheat.

Fixture types we install and where they shine

Every room has its own lighting job. Here is how we match fixtures to rooms.

A simple, tidy install

Bring the fixture. We handle the rest.

  1. Check the box

We confirm the box and wiring can support your fixture.

  2. Assemble and hang

We build the fixture, set the height and level it.

  3. Wire and test

Connected safely, often paired with a dimmer from Lutron. Then we test it.

Light fixture installation questions

Can you install a heavy chandelier?

Yes. We check the weight and install a rated box or brace so the chandelier is fully supported.

How high should a chandelier hang over a dining table?

A common guide is about 30 to 36 inches above the table top, adjusted for ceiling height and fixture size.

Can you install a fixture I bought online?

Yes. We install customer-supplied fixtures as long as they are listed for use in the U.S.

Do I need a special box for a pendant?

Most pendants work with a standard box. Heavy pendants or clusters may need a rated box.

Can you add a light where there isn't one?

Yes. We run a new circuit or extend an existing one, add a box and a switch.

Will you take the old fixture away?

Yes. We remove the old fixture and can haul it away for you.

Have a fixture waiting in the box?

We will hang it level, wire it safely and make sure the box can carry it.
